Yes, folks it is time for the "Better Body Challenge!"   This year we are doing it a little different.  We are going as a team.  We must hit our goals 100% as a team to win.   The cost to be a part of the BBC is $25.00.   If the team wins we take the money and celebrate.  Lose and we take the money and donate it to a local charity.   In addition, all entries have to work one day for the charity.

I know we have been talking about this for months but I should have got this article out a lot sooner.  Unfortunately, I got caught up in the holidays and have been totally distracted since Thanksgiving. 

We will use these mesurements as our standards for this year.  (These are established by the Mayo Clinic.)

  • Check your aerobic fitness: Brisk walk
  • Measure muscular fitness: Push-ups
  • Assess your flexibility: Sit-and-reach test
  • Estimate your body composition: Waist circumference and body mass index
  • Overall weight/body fat composition
     
We will do our base line measurements in January.  The competition will continue for 12 weeks.  You do not need to participate in the SECS class to join the BBC but the SECS class will help you to monitor your progress.

Training in the SECS class will focus on helping eveyone reach their individual goals which will insure the team wins!
