Yes! Fairly tough aerobic class at SECS last night and even though I was dragging I was able to get in a little bit of training with the MMA guys.   I might have given our fighter Omur Cor a decent push as he is preparing to fight in the Main Event this Saturday night, Oct. 3rd at Celebrity Theatre. (Yes, a quick commercial… Ha!)

But was at 184.0 and the end of the day and woke up hitting 183.4.

So for all you “Dudes.”   Last night we came up with how we wanted to approach the “Better Body Challenge” for 2010.   First over the past few years we have done well but it always seems to lose steam after about 8 weeks.   So I came up with a better idea.   Let’s do it this year as a complete team? Lots of support this way. Not that there wasn’t support in the previous years but I think as individuals saw others doing great they might have gotten a little intimidated and laid off thinking they couldn’t win.   However, virtually everyone showed improvement overall during the BBC.

This year I want us all to knock it out of the park with reaching our goals. I think were going to have to change the name to the “Better Bodies Commitment” or something like that.

Here’s how it is going to work.   Again there will be a $25.00 entry fee from every participant. Each participant will set their goals. (We will be posting the criteria soon.)
If each and every participant reaches a combined goal of 100% we will take the pooled entry fees and celebrate. (Still working on ideas for this.) Remember there will be some participants that do more than a 100% and some that won’t, this way we all can do our job and also be thankful for those over achievers.

Here’s what happens if we don’t hit 100%.   We take the pooled money and we donate it to a charity. In addition to the donation, we have to commit to volunteering a full day to work for that charity. You know St. Mary’s Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, etc.   We will all decide soon.

So do you have to be in the SECS class to join this? Absolutely not but we will want to monitor your progress so it will help. Besides just come join us for a stress free, fun workout.   All Attitude First members are encouraged to get involved.   Heck, get your family, friends, co-workers, etc. involved.   It is going to be an amazing event.   Definitely a “Win/Win” no matter how you view it.   We hit our goals we will have a pretty awesome celebration and we will all feel much better in our new bodies.   We miss it a little? We still WIN. We have a better body and get to feel good by helping others!!

Ultimately, as I was explaining last night: yes, Attitude First Training Center is about self defense.   But my hopes are that it truly is about “attitude” in all aspects of your life and that the Center offers our members a Wellness Center. Self Defense is one aspect of your overall health and vitality.   I hope we are a resource that helps you achieve a healthier and happier life.

So keep watching the website and as the New Year approaches we will be getting more information posted.     Be sure to look in the Fitness section of the site.
